Biography

Bob Holmes has dedicated his career to exploring and creating engaging experiences – first as an international recording artist, then as a producer, and now as founder and chief creative officer of a digital services agency, Sudden Industries (Sudden). Founded in 1996, Sudden was one of the first NYC agencies to provide digital design and technology services to media, entertainment, performing arts, and nonprofit organizations, including PBS, AMC Networks (formerly Rainbow / Cablevision), Viacom / MTVN, Pearson, Barnes & Noble, NBC Universal, The American Legion, Alvin Ailey Dance Theatre, Symphony Space, The Committee for Children, US Dept. of Education, USDA, Carnegie Hall, the National Cable & Telecommunications Assn, the Brain Tumor Foundation and the Motion Picture Assn of America.

Bob has spoken and led seminars at Digital Hollywood (both East & West), the American Film Institute, CES, the NCTA Cable Show and SXSW Music Conference.

Bob Holmes started his media career as a Grammy-nominated recording artist for Mercury / PolyGram records, where he was recognized for his pioneering work with music video. He went on to produce and remix records for artists including David Bowie and k.d.lang, and is now known for his popular ambient work with the NYC quintet SUSS.
