Dr. Kelli Dunlap leverages her expertise in psychology and passion for game design to advocate for and advance the intersection of games and mental health. As the Director of Mental Health Research and Design at iThrive Games, Dr. Dunlap leads on the design and implementation of the organization’s mental health initiatives. She has been recognized nationally for her work in the games and mental health space and is an outspoken advocate for mental health in and through games. She’s previously spoken at events ranging from the Game Developers Conference to the Eastern Psychological Association and has collaborated on games projects with the National Institute of Mental Health and the Knight Foundation. Dr. Dunlap earned her masters in game design from American University and her doctorate in clinical psychology from the American School of Professional Psychology. She is the IGDA Mental Health SIG Chair and is an IGDA Velocity mentor.
