Early in life I showed promise in the non-existent field of game-based engagement. I made games out of everything from homework to chopping wood. Little did I know, I’d one day make a career out of his seemingly useless aptitude.
Years later, stuck with the unenviable task of training upper management to use SAP, I discovered a professional application for my childhood proclivity. I found that by morphing the training experience into a game I was able to get learners more engaged. At this point I knew he was on to something.
I promptly resigned and started Launchfire (est.1999) where I’ve been lucky enough to build game-based marketing and training programs for many of the world’s leading brands. It’s a tough job, but someone’s gotta do it!
